Maxine May Diston

Maxine May Diston passed away peacefully on Friday February 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

 Maxine was born on May 22, 1931, in Morgan, Utah to Parley and Norma Carter as one of six children. She attended Morgan High School where she met Roy, the love of her life at a basketball game. They married a short time later, July 14, 1950. She worked at Dean’s Coffee Shop for 30 plus years where she had a good time serving and harassing the locals.

 In her spare time, she loved spending time in the Uinta’s, sewing and quilting while watching her favorite sports teams, BYU and the Utah Jazz. Every child, grandchild and great grandchild has received one of her precious quilts.

 Maxine is survived by her loving children Vickie (Dennis) Garver and Rick (Sue) Diston, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.

 Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Edward LeRoy Diston, son Craig Roy Diston, parents Parley and Norma Carter, daughter in-law Lucille (Rick) Diston, brothers Wellen Carter, Twain Carter and sister Pat Judkins.

 A special thanks to her granddaughter Teresa DeForest for her loving care and for always being there for her, as her hairdresser, shopper and secretary.

 We also want to express our appreciation and love to The Family Tree Assisted Living and Quality Home Health and Hospice for their loving care right through her last breath.

 Per her request there will be a graveside service at the Coalville Cemetery on Monday February 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM. A luncheon for family and friends will be held at the Coalville Stake Center following the graveside service.
