Moisés Rodríguez Arriola, cariñosamente conocido como Papa Moy, falleció pacíficamente en su hogar en Coalville, Utah, el sábado 15 de junio de 2024, a los 80 años debido a causas naturales.  

Moisés nació el 20 de octubre de 1943 en Llano Grande, Guanajuato, México. Nació y creció en México y llegó a los Estados Unidos siendo adolescente para trabajar. Moisés se convirtió en ciudadano estadounidense y trabajó en una granja de mink y como cocinero en una gasolinera local. Después de jubilarse, dedicó su tiempo a cuidar a sus numerosos nietos. Moisés fue un padre, abuelo y vecino amoroso, conocido por asistir siempre a la iglesia todos los domingos y por la sonrisa que nunca abandonaba su rostro. Tenía un gran amor por el pastel de tres leches, el helado y cualquier cosa dulce.  

Moisés es sobrevivido por su amada esposa, Coinda Núñez Rodríguez, y sus hijos: Noé (Berta), Leticia, María (Raúl), Chela (Gabriel), Francisco (Lupe), Moisés (Chuy), Jesús (Susana), Carlos (Mariela), Antonio (Ana) y Juan (Ana). Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Engracia y Daniel Rodríguez; sus hijos, José Guadalupe, Leticia y Moisés; su yerno, Lino Vega; su nuera, Ana; y sus hermanos, Teresa y Jesús.  

Se llevará a cabo un velorio el jueves 20 de junio, de 6:00 PM a 8:00 PM, at Walker Mortuary Morgan, 45 W 200 N Morgan, UT 84050. Los servicios fúnebres se llevarán a cabo el viernes 21 de junio, comenzando con un velatorio de 11:30 AM a 12:30 PM, seguido de un rosario a las 12:30 PM y una misa a la 1:00 PM en la Iglesia Católica de Santa María, ubicada en 1505 White Pine Canyon Road, Park City, Utah, 84060. El entierro se llevará a cabo a las 3:00 PM en el Cementerio de Coalville, 175 Industrial Park Road, Coalville, Utah, 84017. Una recepción seguirá a partir de las 4:00 PM en Coalville Fitt, 9 South Main Street, Coalville, Utah, 84017.

Moises Rodriguez Arriola, lovingly known as Papa Moy, passed away peacefully at his home in Coalville, Utah, on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at the age of 80 due to natural causes.  

Moises was born on October 20, 1943, in Llano Grande, Guanajuato, Mexico. He was born and raised in Mexico and came to the United States as a teenager to work. Moises became a U.S. citizen and worked in mink farming and as a cook at a local gas station. After retirement, he devoted his time to caring for his many grandchildren. Moises was a loving father, grandfather, and neighbor, known for always attending church every Sunday and for the smile that never left his face. He had a great love for pastel de 3 leches, ice cream, and anything sweet.

Moises is survived by his beloved spouse, Coinda Nunez Rodriguez, and his children: Noe (Berta), Leticia, Maria (Raul), Chela (Gabriel), Francisco (Lupe), Moises (Chuy), Jesus (Susana), Carlos (Mariela), Antonio (Ana), and Juan (Ana). He was preceded in death by his parents, Engracia and Daniel Rodriguez; his children, Jose Guadalupe, Leticia, and Moises; his son-in-law, Lino Vega; his daughter-in-law, Ana; and his siblings, Teresa and Jesus.  

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 20th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Walker Mortuary Morgan, 45 W 200 N Morgan, UT 84050. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21st, starting with a viewing from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a rosary at 12:30 PM and a mass at 1:00 PM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, located at 1505 White Pine Canyon Road, Park City, Utah, 84060. The burial will take place at 3:00 PM at Coalville Cemetery, 175 Industrial Park Road, Coalville, Utah, 84017. A reception will follow starting at 4:00 PM at Coalville Fitt, 9 South Main Street, Coalville, Utah, 84017.  

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, friends, and medical staff who provided exceptional care and support to Moises during his final days. Your kindness and compassion are deeply appreciated.
