Murry Paul Dickson, 49, of Logan, Utah, returned to his Heavenly Father on October 22, 2008 at McKay Dee Hospital, due to complications from surgery with his family by his side. Murry was born February 28, 1959 in Ogden, Utah, to Paul and Romona Dickson. He grew up in Morgan and attended and graduated from schools in Morgan.

He was a jack of all trades and a master of them all. Murry loved to go camping, four-wheeling, and attending the annual Anderson Family Reunion at Bear Lake. He was a master chef at dutch-oven cooking. He was also known for lighting up the neighborhood with his Christmas lights. Murry had a big heart and was a friend to all. He was looking forward to his trip in November. His daughter Karlee and his niece Margaret will go in his place continuing his legacy. At the time of his death he was serving in his favorite calling on the Stake High Council. He developed a close relationship with the men he served with. He was medically retired from Thiokol and Jardine Petroleum due to an accident in February of 2002.

Murry is survived by his wife, the love of this life, Julie, his "Ju". His 8 children Josh Dickson of Clinton, Kristi (James) Witherspoon of Smithfield, Brady (Chelsey) Dickson of Smithfield, Wade (Shailey) Dickson of Layton, Karlee Dickson, Ashli Spillett, Jordan Spillett all of Logan and Sparky. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, October 27, 2008 and from 10:45 to 11:45 am Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Logan Central Stake Center, 1255 North 600 East in Logan, Utah. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon at the same location.

Burial services will be held at the Providence City Cemetery in River Heights.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. David Curtis, who has put Murry back together many times, our favorite nurse Shawn at McKay Dee, as well the life-flight crew and all those involved in his care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to America Helps 293 South Main Street, Logan, Utah 84321. This would be Murry's wish.
