She married the love of her life, Laurel Dean Rock on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1942 at the home of her parents in Garland. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on April 13, 1949. They were married 67 years.

They lived in Logan and Ogden before settling in Morgan where they raised five children and later built a new home in Mountain Green.

Being on golf leagues in Morgan, Ogden, and St. George where she and Dean spent many winters as snow birds in Ivins, Utah.

She graduated from Painters Cosmetology School; she owned and operated her own Floral Shop. She and Dean owned a wedding catering business. She loved to write poetry, read and do jigsaw puzzles. Her greatest happiness in life was raising and watching her children with their accomplishments. She loved her home in Mtn. Green, traveling, supporting her children in their activities, big family dinners and parties, and watching her family prosper.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in various church callings; she also served a mission for the church with her husband in Charolette, North Carolina. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Utah Poetry Society, and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was very proud of her Pioneer Heritage.
