NaVee Moore

October 30, 1925 — May 4, 2015

NaVee Dawson Bune Moore, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on May 4, 2015.

She was born on October 30, 1925 in Henefer, Utah to Orson Stewart and Bernice Caroline Dawson. She grew up in Henefer with her brothers and sister, as well as an extended family of many cousins and friends. A lifelong animal lover, she particularly loved dogs and horses, and was also an avid bird watcher.

She graduated from North Summit High School and Seminary in May of 1943. After graduation, she worked in many jobs left vacant by the young men who had gone off to war.

She met the love of her life, Alan Bune, in Morgan, Utah while at the movies. They were married in March of 1944 in Lawton, OK, where he was stationed while serving in WWII. They had 3 children and were married for 25 years before his untimely death. The memories of the happy times will stay with us forever.

NaVee was an avid reader and was well-informed about many subjects. She was quick witted, fun and the life of any family gathering. She was a very proud woman from her fashion sense to her intellect; but she was most proud of her children. She supported her children and grandchildren in every way, whether academics, sports, music or dance. We couldn’t have asked for more.

She was a member of the LDS Church and held many positions throughout the years. She was an especially beloved Sunday School teacher who influenced many young people. She was also a proud member of the DUP, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and loved the history surrounding her ancestry.

NaVee is survived by her three children Kent (Ina) Bune, Lane (Stephanie) Bune and Janet Bune (Rob) Washer; and her sister Dot Winchester. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alan, Clayton, Kiki, Brett and Seffan, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Alexander Bune, her Parents, brothers Chadwick and Donald and sister Rae Dell. She is also preceded in death by her loving second husband, Gene Moore.

Friends may call at Walker Mortuary in Coalville, Utah (268 South Main) on Saturday, May 9th from 11am to 12pm for the viewing. A Graveside service will follow at 12:30 at Henefer Cemetery. Luncheon immediately following at Henefer Fire House.
