Norma Lou Smith Kennedy, age 83, passed away at her home in Morgan on November 24, 2015, from causes incident to age.
She was born in Randolph, Utah on April 26, 1932 to John Albert and Dorothy Elizabeth (Bessie) Kennedy Smith. She graduated from South Rich High School, and from LDS Business College. Norma Lou married Ross E. Kennedy on September 5, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
They spent their early years in Salt Lake, then moved to Ogden, and finally to Morgan to raise their family. Mom loved music, gardening, cooking yummy treats, especially peanut butter cookies, and playing bingo on her birthday with her family.
Norma Lou is survived by her husband, and four children: John (Paula) Kennedy, Mike (Rindy) Kennedy, Sherrie (Keven) Clemens, and Sharlene (Jim) Dean. She also has 17 grandkids, and 31 greats! She loved us all dearly.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Eunice and Virginia, and a great-grandson.
The family would like to thank her care-givers of Encompass Home Health, and especially Corey Blonquist.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 2, from 6 to 8 pm at the Walker Mortuary, 45 W 200 N, Morgan, Utah, and the following morning at the Milton Church, 1255 N Morgan Valley Dr. from 10 to 10:45 am. Funeral services will be Thursday morning, Dec. 3, at 11:00 at the Milton Church.
Interment will be at the Randolph Utah Cemetery.
