Patricia Mortenson Olsen, 82, returned to the love of her life and her eternal companion, Alton, on December 24, 2020.
She was born on March 8, 1938 to Wayne and Marjorie Luckey Mortenson. Pat grew up in Porterville as the oldest of nine girls and was the “boss” of them all. She graduated from Morgan High in 1956, where she was a cheerleader.
She met her prince on a blind date, and they were married on August 26, 1955. Their marriage was late solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1967. Alton spoiled her and treated her like a queen.
She loved to square dance and she and Alton danced and were in competitions. They were very competitive. She loved to bowl and worked and managed Parkside Lanes for over 40 years. Pat loved to work in the yard and loved her flowers. Her yard was always immaculate.
Pat and Alton loved doing everything together, they were never apart. They loved to travel to many places, especially church history sites.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and served in many positions. Pat and Alton served a mission in San Bernadino, California.
“Dad, Mom is now back with you and you can spoil her all you want for eternity.”
She is survived by three daughters, Mitzi (Kirk) Ralphs, Wendy (Robert) Mikesell, and Raquel (Lance) Kuehne and ten grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren; seven sisters: Carol, Judy, Ann, Susan, Brenda, Denise, and Jill. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one grandchild, Colt Ralphs, one sister, Cleo and many sister and brother-in-laws.
We as a family would like to thank those who helped with mom’s care: Stacy, Kori, Cassie, Encompass Health & Hospice, and those at Family Tree.
Due to Covid a private service will be held for the family at Walker Mortuary on Tuesday, December 29th.
Interment will be at the Milton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers hold your family close.
