Paul J. Ovard left this life and joined his mom, dad, and sister on Monday, March 15, 2010.
Born June 15, 1945 in Coalville, Utah to Lawrence (Bud) and Clara Ovard, he grew up in Henefer, Utah, attending Henefer elementary school and graduating from North Summit High School. He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
Paul was employed as a butcher for Dan's foods for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the mountains, being outdoors and gardening. He shared his homegrown tomatoes and abundant fish catches with family and friends. He was a quiet man who kept to himself, but had a genuine concern for his family and others. He was well thought of by those whom he worked and associated with.
Paul is survived by three brothers and one sister: Harold (Delores) Ovard, Pat (Bonnie) Ovard, Judy (Bob) Roath, and Dode Ovard. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister Elaine Ovard.
