Pearl Leone G. McQueen, 94, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born September 4, 1913 in Hoytsville, Utah to Pearl Spriggs Garn and Edmund Garn. She lived in Hoytsville all her life and was educated there, graduating from North Summit High School.
Leone married Lloyd Hugh McQueen on October 18, 1933 in the Salt Lake City temple. He passed away on February 4, 1967. Together they ran the family farm, enjoyed square dancing, and spending time with friends and family. They served a church mission together to North Highlands-Sacramento, California in 1963.
Leone was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully in all the auxiliaries. She served a mission as a single sister to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1974, and served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 9 years.
Leone is survived by her three children, Ruth (Richard) Richins of Echo, Utah; Marian (Ken) Smith of West Valley, Utah; and Brent (Jennie) McQueen of Twin Falls, Idaho; 9 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by twin daughters, Genive and Genine, her husband Lloyd, a son, Ray, and sister, Ina Blonquist.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hoytsville LDS Chapel. Friends and family may call at the church Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the service. Interment, Hoytsville Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Hospice staffs in Hoytsville and Twin Falls for their devoted support and care.
