Reed Wright Harding

Reed Wright Harding passed away on November 16, 2023 at his home in Morgan, Utah. He was born in Devils Slide at his Grandma and Grandpa Wright’s home on June 10, 1940 to Albert Harding  and Jessie Virginia Wright Harding.

He married Darlene Bridwell, then he married lovely wife Anna Post, they were married for over 48 years.

His daughters are Sherrie & Buck Shafer, Lynnette Pagano, Wanda Balaich, and Valarie & Rodney Haslam. He has seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He loved all his family and friends so very much, the folks in the community, his ancestry and his little Morgan County.

He worked for Browning for over 35 years running the fur farm. Back in his early days he worked for Como Springs, Heiner Fur Farm, Parks Meat, and many other jobs.

He was the Morgan Fire Warden for years and was also in the Morgan Search and Rescue for years.

He belonged to the Utah Fancy Poultry Association. He loved raising their horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, and his prize chickens.

He just always loved the farm life. They always raised the most beautiful garden and would always send us around the valley to deliver vegetables to all the widows, and widowers. He loved being a home teacher with Charlie Boyce, going to the Assisted Living to visit with those who were there.

Reed is preceded in death by his parents, sister Marlene Harding Lowe, brother Earl Harding, daughter Faye, granddaughter Nachele Shafer, and great grandson Reed Clark Garn.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the Rock Church, 10 W Young Street, Morgan, Utah. The visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 am and the funeral service following at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the South Morgan Cemetery.
