Rhett Gibson

Rhett Omer Gibson went home to his loving Heavenly Father and Savior on Wednesday April 17.  He was surrounded by his loved ones as he made his peaceful transition to other side.  Rhett is survived by his parents Mike and Cambria and siblings Donavin, Zayva, and Tiarra.

Rhett was born 10 weeks pre-mature on January 23rd 2006 in Ogden, UT.  Months later Rhett was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Dystonia.  It is said that actions speak louder than words; in Rhett’s case he taught us a life full of lessons in his short thirteen years on this earth in the way that he took on his many trials with a mountain of faith and unbelievable strength.

Rhett loved Morgan Elementary and Middle School where he got to interact with his amazing bus drivers, schoolmates, teachers and aids.  Every day when the bus would pull up he would get a big smile on his face knowing he got to go be with all his friends. He also loved Disneyland and his Disney Movies, especially the ones with cute girls like Elsa and Anna.  Rhett loved his siblings and cousins and throughout his life developed a very tender relationship with them all.

Throughout Rhett’s life it became very evident that he possessed the silent gift of healing and comforting all those who came in contact with him.  His little spirit was so strong that anyone who met him would form a love and bond very quickly that we know will last an eternity.  We cannot wait for the day when we get to see Rhett again on the other side with open arms waiting to wrap us up in a loving embrace.  We love you Rhett!

Funeral Services will held at the Morgan West Stake on 2755 W Old Hwy Rd, Morgan UT

Viewing: Friday April 19, 6pm-8pm

Funeral: Saturday April 20, 11am

An account has been set up in Rhett’s name at 1st Bank in Morgan for any donations to go towards funeral costs.
