Richard Dean Barney

Richard Dean Barney was taken home unexpectedly Friday, January 25, 2008. He was born September 18, 1970 in Murray, Utah. He spent most of his life in Layton, Utah where he learned to work on old cars with his dad and friends.

Rich loved camping, fishing, gardening, writing poetry and art work. He was a great lover of animals, especially his hound dog Lady. He was a loyal friend and a hard worker. He worked many years as a laborer and sheet metal machinist. He had an endless supply of good qualities the greatest of which was his love for his family.

He was proceeded in death by his father, O'Dean Barney. He is survived by his loving mother, June Barney, Layton; two sisters, Stephanie (Al) Rogers, Clearfield; Jennifer (Jeremy) Hill, Corinne; two nieces, Jessalyn and Jannelle; and seven nephews, Jared, C.J., Jace, Dillon, Bubba, Sammy, and Mason.

His family would like to thank all of his friends and loved ones for being there for him when he needed them. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 11:00 am at the church located at 151 N 1000 W Clearfield, Utah. Friends and family may call Wed. from 9:45 to 10:45 at the church.
