On September 26th 2021, Richard Adrian Furniss (76) returned home with his wife Sharon Joy Furniss. Richard was born on Feb. 19, 1945 in Jackson Hole, WY to Denton and Janette Furniss. He was raised in Wyoming and Springville Utah. Richard loved his country and proudly served in the US Navy where he fought in the Vietnam war. He married Sharon Joy Buckway on Sept 1st, 1973 in Ogden, UT. Gaining 5 bonus kids from the start of their marriage, he loved his 5 bonus kids like his own. He and Sharon had 3 kids together, their youngest being the light of their lives. He also had a special bond with his grandkids, all of whom he helped raise. He loved being their Grumpy Gramps.

Richard loved to go camping, taking his family on trips to Flaming Gorge and North Fork were two of his favorite spots. He loved going on his guys' camp outs with his brothers, sons, grandsons and his nephews. He loved fishing and hunting. He also developed a talent for wood carving that started out with using only dental tools that he had been given. After the passing of his wife Sharon he was able to care for their special daughter with whom he loved and cherished every moment he spent with her. They had a special bond.
