He served as Booshway in 2010 and 2014, and held various leadership roles including President and currently as Vice President.
He also taught black powder gun skills at the fourth grade rendezvous in Evanston and loved sharing this knowledge with his children and grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of the NRA.
Rick had a deep passion for sports and dedicated many years to coaching his children in Soccer, Basketball, Football, and Baseball. He was unwaveringly supportive of his kids and grandchildren, attending every game possible to cheer them on.
After retiring, he continued to educate others by working at “This is the Place Heritage Village” for three years, where he delighted in sharing the mountain man's way of life with visitors.
Rick was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in various callings including scout master and primary teacher.
