Robert Huerta

On Sunday, October 29, 2023 Robert “Bob” Huerta passed away in Morgan, Utah with his loving son next to him, who never left his side. Bob was born on May 21, 1932 to Rosie Mark in Salt Lake City, Utah.

At the young age of 12 and using his thumb as his only means of travel, he left home and was fortunate to cross paths with Wesley Gransden. From then on he was raised in Mtn. Green by Wesley and Janet Gransden.

On January 15, 1955 Bob was married to Sharon Kaye Haws in Porterville, Utah.

Bob learned the value of hard work at a young age and work hard he did. He was employed at Ideal Cement Plant for 40 years while working also for Browning Arms, retiring after 43 years. During those 43 years he also worked as a farrier. 

Bob attended countless high school football and baseball games supporting his boys and later his grandsons and great grandson.

He is survived by his son Mark (Pam) Huerta of Morgan, Utah and a step-daughter, Denise (Mark) Kleinfield of Layton, Utah. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother Rosie, wife Sharon, Wes & Janet and his son Scott.

A viewing will be held at Walker Mortuary on Thursday, November 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday November 3, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the interment at 11 a.m. at the South Morgan Cemetery.

A special thanks to Enhabit Hospice Care and especially Corey Blonquist for her timeless care given to Bob.
