Roma Maxwell

COALVILLE a�" Roma Jean Geary Maxwell passed peacefully on February 20, 2013, at home surrounded by family. She was born on November 14, 1929 in Coalville, Utah. She married her sweetheart, Leon Ralph Maxwell, on April 25, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Roma Jean graduated from North Summit High School where she played drums in the marching band, was a cheerleader, and a member of the chorus. She also enjoyed tap dancing and ice-skating. Her favorite hobby growing up was riding horses, and she especially loved her horse "Whitie". Upon graduation from high school, she married Leon and they began their wonderful life together. They were happily married for over 63 years.

Roma Jean spent her time dedicated to the ones she valued most, her family. She enjoyed anything she could do with her family, including snowmobiling, boating, waterskiing, and flying planes with the love of her life. She was active in community events and her church callings. She always took pride in her yard and her blue-ribbon petunias. She had such a fun and loving personality and lit up every room with her smile. She had a huge heart and her home was always filled with the sound of her whistling and singing.

Roma Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Leon, parents, Marvella and Austin Geary, and siblings: Bryan Heiner Geary, Austin Gale Geary, Roselind Geary Johnson, Grant Geary, Russell Dean Geary, and Betty June Vernon. She is survived by her sister, LaVaun Vernon, children: Connie (Tom) Swensen, Kelly (Judy) Maxwell, Rodney Maxwell, and Shanna (Clay) Atkinson, ten grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 25, at 11 a.m. at the Coalville LDS Stake Center, 90 S Main Street. A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 24, from 6 to 7 p.m., and Monday, February 25, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Coalville LDS Stake Center.

Interment at the Coalville Cemetery.
