Ron was born December 4, 1950, in Rock Springs Wyoming to Jack and Irene Porter Andrews. The family moved back to Porterville, Utah around 1952.
Ron graduated from Morgan High School in 1969. He enjoyed playing sports, football, track, and wrestling at Morgan High. He also had an artistic side; he could sketch a great picture if had a mind to. He surprisingly wrote of his life experiences in a western type poetry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding with his daughters and friends.
Ron served his country in the Navy stationed at Subic Bay, Phillipines. Ron and Marion built their home in Morgan, Utah. They finished it together while adding three daughters to their family.
He enjoyed many years with his daughters in the horse 4-H program-hauling the girls and their horses to high school rodeos-he learned to shoe their horses and helped wherever he was needed.
He coached their rec basketball team and softball team and graciously attended their many dance reviews.
He taught his daughters how to haul and stack hay-“Tight and no gaps”-how to shoot-straight and true, always erring on the side of caution-always to pick up the brass.
He had a quiet personality and a huge love for family and friends. He was active in the L.D.S. church he served in the bishopric and High council. He especially enjoyed the scouting program working with Milan, Wayne, and Alvin.
Surviving are his Wife Marion, daughters Karri (Stan) Larsen, Staci (Cole) Schlack, Heather (Trevor) Lee. Grandchildren Tyler Larsen, Jessica (Bryce) Preece, Jamie Larsen-Hunter, Kaylee, Boston, Quincy Schlack-Taylor, Evelyn Irene Lee, one great grandson-Samuel Preece. Also surviving are his brothers, Dan (Christine) Andrews, John (Beth) Andrews, James (Cherie) Andrews, Wayne (Jeanne) Fry, Alvin (Pam) Jensen. Preceded in death by his brother Milan (Susan) Mecham. Until we meet again, love you always.
