Ronald Wayne Cozzens

Our beloved husband, father, son, brother and grandpa, Ron Cozzens, 71, returned to his heavenly father after a brief but fierce battle with cancer. Ron passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at his daughter's home in Peoa, Utah, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ronald Wayne Cozzens was born on August 28, 1935 in Laramie, Wyoming to Fay and Dorothy Cozzens. He grew up in Byron, a little town in Wyoming. In school he was involved in basketball, football and FFA. He enjoyed hot rods and horses. Ron was baptized a member of the LDS Church when he was 16 years old. He served in many church callings throughout his life. He married Jamie Lee Roberts in 1997. They spent ten wonderful years together. Jamie has been constantly by her "sweetie's" side as she nursed him day and night through his brave battle with cancer. His love of the cowboy life took him to ranches in Florida, Utah, Texas, Wyoming, British Columbia, Montana and he especially loved his ranch work in Arizona. Ron liked people and people liked Ron. He was known for his patience and acceptance of everyone. His wonderful smile and humor will be missed by all. Ron was preceded in death by his father Fay Cozzens, grandson Jaydee Blackburn, and stepson Marty Rubison. He is survived by his wife Jamie Lee, five daughters and one son. (Roger) and Ronda Gallup, Thornton, CO; (Gary) and Lennie Blackburn. Peoa, UT; Curt and (Terry) Cozzens, Buckeye, AZ; (Mike) and Connie Combe, Roy, UT; (Kelly) and Julie King, Smithfield, UT; (Rick) and Jeri Griess, Clearfield, UT.
