Rulon V Judd, 88, of Hoytsville, passed away May 28, 2016 of causes incident to age. Born May 12, 1928, in Hoytsville to Frank M. and Sarah Edna Vernon Judd.
He spent his childhood on the family farm, with his 5 brothers and 4 sisters. He graduated from North Summit High School. Following a 2 1/2 year mission to Finland, he served his country during the Korean War.
He married Margie Nichols in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 19, 1952. After graduating from BYU, he served as an educator at North Summit Schools for many years. He was also a dairy farmer and loved the family farm.
He was a lifetime servant of his church and Savior, including bishop, patriarch, and temple sealer. He and Margie returned to Finland as senior missionaries and subsequently served together in the Sweden Stockholm Temple and the Ukraine Kiev Mission.
He possessed a kind, patient wisdom that blessed his family and many others.
Welcomed on the other side by his parents, brothers (Vernon, Roy, Glen, Grant), sisters (Gladys, Lois, Margaret), grandson (Curtis), great-granddaughter (Maddi Lynn). Survived by his sweetheart, Margie, brother (Kenneth) and sister (Dorothy), children and spouses: Teena (Paul) Brown, Mark (LaReen) Judd, MaryAnn (Sterling) Banks, Jonene (Van) Johanson, David (Jane) Judd, and Allison (Thayne) Porter, 24 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, June 3, 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Funeral service at 11 a.m. following the visitation.
All services will be at the Hoytsville LDS Church.
