Ruth Netz
Morgana"Ruth Remboldt Netz, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 12, 2007 in Ogden, Utah.
She was born March 10, 1915 in Gackle, North Dakota, daughter of Chris and Caroline Lang Remboldt. She married Emil Netz on October 18, 1946 in Elko, Nevada.
Ruth retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1968 and served many years as a volunteer for the Morgan Senior Center.
Ruth is survived by her son, Bob and his wife, Billie; grandchildren: Shawn (Tiffany) Netz and Stacy (Tim) Lafitte; and great-grandchildren Lydon, Aaron, Brennon and Chaston, all of Morgan.
We will forever cherish the memories of our times spent with Grandma Ruth and Grandpa in Peterson. We will never forget eating strawberries and peas right out of her garden, dinners at her house, the never-ending supply of roast beef, kneflas, strudla and pigs in the blanket in the fridge, and the way that she knew how to sew just about everything!
We always knew we could hang out at grandma's house (even as teenagers and grown-ups) and that there would be a soda and a candy bar in the drawer of the fridge waiting for us and some quarters in the dish in the cupboard for us to take on our way out.
Thank you, Jeanne Allen and the Morgan Senior Center, for being an important part of her life. We hold dear our "grandma blankets" that she and the seniors made for our birthdays and weddings or just because we needed a new blanket. No other quilt will be as warm, as soft or as special as our grandma blankets.
The family would like to thank Dawn Hamblin and Tammy Goodwin, for your thoughtful and compassionate care. You treated our grandma like the special lady she was and even took the occasional "swat" from her. She just wanted us all to know that she had enough spunk left in her.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the North Morgan Cemetery. There will be a viewing for friends and family at Walker Mortuary in Morgan prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment, North Morgan Cemetery .
