Our sweet mother, Sandra Faye Isakson, age 92, passed away on July 15, 2013 in the Heber Valley Hospital, Heber City, Utah.
Sandra was born on November 19, 1920 in Ophir, Utah, a daughter of Sigurd Julian Jacobson and Corilla Jane Jones. She was the sixth of ten children. She married Robert Albin Isakson on May 28, 1940. Together they raised four children: Robert Dixon Isakson (RD) who married Rebecca Scoffield, Clyde Bill Isakson married to Joanne Buetler, Sherry Lynn Isakson Chee; and Sharla Lee Isakson married to Robert Banz. Sandra has 21 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 5 great, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her son RD and his wife Rebecca.
Sandra always enjoyed painting, and during the prime of her life, she loved square dancing and golfing with her husband. She continued to be active and agile until her fall two days before her death. More than anything else in her life she enjoyed her dogs. They were her comfort and her greatest joy.
Bob and Sandra lived in many places throughout their married lives, including Magna, Clearfield, Layton, and Plymouth, Utah; California; Arizona; and Hawaii. Sandra lived in Quartzsite, Arizona until she turned 91 and was no longer able to live alone. Everywhere she lived she was known by her sweet and kind personality. She always had a smile for everyone she met.
Funeral services will be held at the Camp Williams Veteran's Cemetery Chapel, 1711 Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 1 p.m.
