Sharon Furniss

January 28, 1941 — January 5, 2014

Our beloved mother, grandma, sister and friend returned to our loving Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the age of 72.

She was born on January 28, 1941 in Ogden, UT to Verba and Henry Buckway. She married Dan Cameron in 1957. They were later divorced. She married Richard Furniss on September 1, 1973.

She devoted her life to love and service, doing any and all that she could for everyone around her, especially her family. She was an angel sent to care for her sweet special daughter Princess Jenny. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings throughout her life. She loved working in the primary. She was dedicated to serving the Lord.

Surviving are her husband Richard and 8 children: Tammy Christman, Danene (Rick) Fowler, Richard (DeeDee) Cameron, Greg (Terry) Cameron, Danny (Diana) Cameron, Beckie (Jason) Reisen, Ryan (Pamela) Furniss, Jennifer Furniss, 18 grandkids, 14 great-grandkids and three more on the way. Also surviving is one brother Dallas Buckway and one sister Sandra Richardson.

Preceding her in death were her mother Verba Chloe Sessions, father Henry Buckway, brother Vernon Buckway, sister Dolores Davis and nephew Steve Carroll.

The family would like to thank Dr. Porter Law and staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center for their care and love for their mother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Uintah LDS Church (6660 S. 1775 E. Lower Uintah UT). A viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at America First Credit Union for the ongoing care of her special needs daughter.
