Shaylee Ann Ovard

May 5, 2002 — February 22, 2024

Henefer

Shaylee Ann Ovard returned to her Heavenly Home on February 22, 2024.  She was born in Ogden, Utah on May 5, 2002.  Shaylee was raised in Henefer, Utah throughout her youth and teen years.

Shaylee had many gifts. She loved people! Wherever she went she had a gift for making friends of all ages and backgrounds.  She accepted all people for who and what they were. She had a natural ability to interact with everyone. She showed interest in others by showing up and being present in a compassionate way.  She had a keen ability to understand other people’s feelings and was aware of them.   Shaylee always tried to make others feel special. She listened, she cared and she loved wholeheartedly!

With her outgoing personality, she loved to tease in a fun, sarcastic, loving way. She was very headstrong and when her mind was made up, that was the final decision.  Shaylee loved to be where all of the fun and action was!  We loved her smile and how her piercing blue eyes would sparkle when she did!

Her talents and hobbies were numerous and far-reaching. She was a natural athlete and a very good dancer, she liked to be creative. She had a willingness to try everything!   Whatever she tried, she gave it her best and would pick up the skills very easily: dance, volleyball, art, singing, music, riding horses, raising and showing pigs and chickens at the county fair, just to name a few.  She loved to spend time with animals and go with her Dad and Grandpa to do chores on the farm.  Shaylee enjoyed family gatherings and taking vacations with her family.  Her nieces, nephews, and cousins held a special place in her heart!

Shaylee faced trials and challenging situations throughout her whole life which inhibited her ability to love herself unconditionally as she unconditionally loved others.  Even though we will never fully understand her struggles, Shaylee is now free from all the earthly trials she faced.  She carried her burdens internally and the turmoil she battled daily was never conquered here on earth.  As much as everyone loved Shaylee those internal battles didn’t allow her to live life to her fullest potential.   She is now accepting and experiencing love and peace like she has never felt before.  We can all find peace and comfort knowing that she is back in the arms of her loving Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.

In her honor, a open house celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and from 2:30 - 3 p.m. a short time for honoring Shaylee with a special musical number and open mic will be held in Morgan, Utah at the Morgan Search and Rescue Building, 1010 Rifle Range Road, Morgan, Utah.  Please dress casual.
