Shirley Dawson

Our loving Wife, Mother and Grandma Shirley Mae Peterson Dawson, age 86, passed away on September 13, 2022 with her loving husband and family by her side.

Shirley was born on June 7, 1936, in Ogden, Utah to Lois B Peterson and Edward M Peterson

Shirley married the love of her life Seth Earl Dawson on August 13, 1953 in the basement of her parents home. They had just celebrated 69 years of marriage this year. Together they had a wonderful life filled with adventure and lots of love. Shirley stayed by his side throughout his many deployments and traveled anywhere Seth was needed. Finally settling and making their home in Morgan, Utah.

She enjoyed many things such as camping and fishing adventures with family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, making a variety of sweet treats and especially her cinnamon rolls. She had a great love for her yorkie puppies and raised many during her time here.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, brother Wayne Peterson, son Scott Dawson, grandson Cody Rich and great grandson Statton Williams.

She is survived by her devoted husband Seth Earl Dawson, 2 daughters Tina(Dave) Larson of Morgan, Ut; Susan(Layne) Rich of Morgan, Ut; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A special thanks to the staff of Mckay Dee Hospital and especially to Corey Blonquist with Enhabit homecare for their compassionate care of Mom.

Graveside Services will be held in South Morgan Cemetery, Morgan, UT on Wednesday September 28, 2022 at 1 p.m.

Viewings will be held on Tuesday September 27, 2022 at Walker Mortuary from 6 to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the services.
