Shirley Bingham Tucker passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on September 21, 2014.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born in Riverdale, Utah on August 15, 1936 to Roland Sanford and Katherine Cevering Bingham. She was raised in Riverdale and graduated from Weber High School in 1954.
Shirley married Lyle K. Tucker of Morgan, Utah on April 12, 1957. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. For the last 57 years they have resided in Morgan, where together they raised and cared for their family. Lyle was a loving companion and caregiver to Shirley.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Shirley held numerous positions. She served at the Ogden Temple for three years, but her favorite calling included six years of service at the Joseph Smith Building. Shirley loved to serve and do for others in the community, teaching her family important principles through her service to others. She is survived by her loving husband Lyle; sister, Sharon Oldfield; her son, Kerry (Sharyl); her son, Tab (Julie); daughter, Sharla; her son, Quinn (Sarah); 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and her brother, Junior Bingham.
The family would like to thank Encompass Hospice, her caring nurse, Corey Blonquist, and all the other staff that lovingly and kindly cared for Shirley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Morgan 3rd Ward Chapel (Rock Chapel) 10 W Young Street, Morgan. Friends and family may visit with the family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North, Morgan and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the church. Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
