MORGAN - "Joe" Stephen Laddle Russell, age 66, passed away on Wednesday March 13, 2013. He was born on May 13, 1946 in Coalville, Utah to Laddle and Edna Broadhead Russell. He was the youngest of six children. Joe graduated from Morgan High School in 1964.
Stephen had many interests including planes, trains, automobiles, and anything that shot ammunition. He loved restoring cars, collecting firearms, and pocket watches. His love for his family and friends was never ending and his generosity was abundant.
He worked for the railroad as an engineer for 47 years. He took pride in his occupation and always strived for perfection in his work performance and expected the same from others.
On September 4, 2004 he married Nancy Jean "the love of his life".
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; three daughters and five sons: Michael (Monica) McMann, Stephen Leslie, Shane Coyne, Andriana Russell, Julie Ann Brown, Lorraine (Wayne) Faulk, Will Carl (Anna) Russell, Joshua (Gemalyn) Russell; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Don (Lacy) Russell, Paul (Lori) Russell; and a sister, Carol Russell.
Stephen was preceded in death by one grandchild, one brother, Carl and a sister, Pat Junk.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 12 noon at the Morgan Rock Chapel, 10 West Young Street, Morgan, UT. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be at the South Morgan Cemetery.
