Steven G. Bird returned home to his Heavenly Father on Mar. 25, 2016
He was born to Russell Bird and Laura Clement on Dec. 27, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah. On Mar. 25, 1966 he married the love of his life Patricia Miller.
Steve graduated from the University of Utah and was a registered pharmacist for more than 50 years. He was loved by all his co-workers and customers. He was a master gardener and had a passion for gardening. He enjoyed his roses and vegetable gardens. He also volunteered at the homeless shelters. He loved helping people. Steve was an expert marksman and also served as an MP in the Utah National Guard. He was active in the LDS Church and held many different callings.
His greatest love of life was his family. He loved spending time with each and every member of his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia, and four children: Steven (Brenda) Bird of Morgan, Tammi (Clay) Dillree of Henefer, Russell (DeJon) Bird of Ogden, and Michelle (Adam) Hunt of Morgan. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Laura Bird, and one grandson, Eric.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Morgan Ambulance and Fire and the many friends and neighbors. You all have a special place in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Mar. 31, 2016 at 11 am at the Morgan 6th Ward chapel in Porterville. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Morgan and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 am at the church prior to the services.
Interment will be in the South Morgan Cemetery.
