Henefer, Utah - Thea Nichols Boyer, our sweet wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed from this mortal life October 11, 2008 in the arms of her sweetheart and eternal companion of 63 years, Edwin "Ted" Boyer.
She was born in Henefer, Utah on August 21, 1926 to Allen LeRoy Nichols and Thelma Richins. She shared a loving, happy childhood with her siblings Louise, Margie and Kent. She married Edwin Wilde Boyer December 1, 1945 in Henefer, Utah. They later were sealed as a family in the Salt Lake City Temple. Mom was passionate about serving and was faithful in her many Ward and Stake callings. She loved music and teaching children to sing. She especially loved serving with Dad on their mission to the Navajo people of Albuquerque, NM and working in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Survived by her 6 children; Craig (Carolyn) of Hooper, LeeAnn (Bruce) Rowser, Becky (Milt) Sargent, Marla (Kerry) Garfield, all of Henefer, Chris (Jeaninne) Coalville, daughter-in-law Tina Boyer of Ogden. She was also blessed with 24 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren, all of whom were her pride and joy. Mom and Dad enjoyed sharing their home with a foster daughter Marion Simp and their grandson Brant Boyer. Preceded in death by her youngest son, Chad Nichols Boyer and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at the Henefer LDS Church on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. A viewing will be held at the church Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. prior to services.
