Thelma Leak

MORGAN - Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Thelma Heiner Leak passed away March 17, 2009 at the age of 90. She was born January 18, 1919 to Lafeyette and Naomi Heiner in the same house she was living in when she died.

Thelma graduated from Morgan High School where she was active in band. She married her life long sweetheart, Wayne Leak, October 11, 1941. Their marriage was solemnized the Salt Lake Temple in February of 1965.

She was active in the LDS church with her favorite calling being that of a Primary teacher as she always thought little children were extra special. Thelma spent her life quietly serving her family with much love. She was always available when help was needed and loved to spend time with her family.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter.

She is survived by her four children: Gary Leak, Morgan, Utah; Dennis Leak, Ogden Utah; Kaye Saxton, Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Carma Francis, Rexburg, Idaho; as well as 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Morgan Stake Chapel. Friends and family may call at the Walker Mortuary, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
