Thomas Lee Jones, 90, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024 surrounded by family. He was born May 8, 1933 in Devils Slide, Morgan, Utah, a son of Richard Ellis Jones and Grace Rhoda Clark Jones.
He was raised in Henefer, Utah on a farm and later, his parents moved their house to town across the street from the elementary school. He attended school there and graduated from North Summit High School in 1951. Tommy served his country in the Army and served active duty during the Korean War in Trieste, Italy. Tommy married Elsena Jensen, on July 27, 1956 in the Logan Temple.
He worked at HAFB for 36 years as an aircraft mechanic, and ran Jones Auto Repair up through 2020. His hobbies were hunting with his two brothers, sons, and two daughters, and other family, riding motorcycles, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, boating, and camping. He loved to joke around and pull pranks. His greatest pride and joy is his family. He went above and beyond to help his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a friend to everyone and a great story teller.
He is survived by his wife Elsena and children. Karrie Jackson of Clearfield, Sharolyn Jones of Clinton, Leelan Jones of Clearfield, Ladena Sellers (Tom Burton) of West Point, Arlin Jones of West Point, Sharla Weaver (Dee) of Clearfield, and Rondell Jones of West Point; 14 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Norris G. Jones of Morgan.
He is preceded in death by 1 son, Russell Vaun Jones, his parents, and brother, Byron E. Jones.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 6-8 pm at the West Point Stake Center (14th Ward), 550 N, 2300 W, West Point, Utah 84015. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 12 noon at the Henefer Church, 708 N Main St. 84033 Henefer, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church preceding the funeral from 10:30-11:30 am. Interment will be at the Henefer Cemetery.
