Val Adair Grover was born October 2,1936 in Murray, Utah to Angus and Charlotte Hamblin Grover. Next to the youngest of five children.
Formative years was involved in sports and community actives and singing.
Military in Germany and mission second counselor for Gulf States (Lincoln Hanks) and Texas missions (Ralph Hill) allowed him to expand his love for country and his savior and to sing.
Married Loretta Love June 3,1963. Lived in Seattle until transferred to Eugene, Oregon with General Electric company. Completed his education at University of Oregon. Moved to Tucson, Arizona to manager/ owner of two Mexican restaurants. 1981 arrived in Mountain Green, Utah to obtain better schools for his sons and remained there the rest of his life.
Musical theater continued to be a passion for the rest of his life. Highlights were performing in the My Fair Lady in Eugene, Oregon to help fund a performing arts theater 1964 and working with Gary and Joy Lundbergh and Doug and Janice Kapp Perry in It’s A Miracle. He was able to go on tour with It’s A Miracle and perform in the completed theater some 20 years later.
Val passed away March 2,2022 from complications of Parkinson’s. He was preceded in death by parents and siblings: June Flammer Price (John), Don (Patricia Emery), Laura, Byron (Joan). Survived by wife Loretta and sons Daniel (Andrea) and Jonathan (Sandra) and several grandchildren and a large extended family.

The family would like to express gratitude to all the wonderful personnel at the McKay Dee Hospital and the Hospice Team who so kindly and lovingly took care of Val and made his final hours a peaceful and serene event. They were amazing! In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
