Velda Wardle Jarman passed away on April 9, 2016 from complications of advance age.
She was born February 13, 1928 to Issac Lelen and Harriett Zetella Taylor Wardle in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Velda spent her early years in Lehi and Provo where she enjoyed rural life. They moved to Ogden where she graduated from Ogden High School. Velda worked for Defense Depot Ogden at Freeport Center. Following World War II she moved to Idaho, where she met Arthur Frances Jarman. On November 10, 1950 they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple for all time and Eternity.
Velda retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1979. She then worked as Morgan County Brand Inspector.
Velda and Arthur enjoyed square dancing, showing horses, Rodeo’s, and family. They raised their family on a small acreage farm in Enterprise, Morgan, Utah. Velda enjoyed crocheting and sewing. This gave her pride in being able to make things for her family and friends.
Velda and Arthur raised five children, Lelen A. Jarman, Zetta Michie, Jeneall Plouzek, Dr. James H. Jarman, and Lowell S. Jarman. Velda is preceeded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Jarman, son, James H. Jarman; sister, Viona Mel Ellis; and a brother, Lelen Taylor Wardle. Velda has two sisters, Beatrice Friel and Zada Clark. Velda leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Enterprise Stake Center, 2755 W. Old Hwy Road, Morgan, Utah. A Viewing will be held prior to services at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the North Morgan Cemetery.
