Venna Lucy Smith

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great -grandmother, sister and friend was called back to her Heavenly Home on November 8th, 2024. She was born on August 25th, 1938 in Brigham City, Utah to Roy Johnston and Ruby Ila Johnston. 

She attended Morgan High School where she met her sweetheart, when she proposed to him by saying, “I am going to marry you!” 

Venna was sealed to the love of her life, Vaughn Smith on May 2, 1956 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple for Time and All Eternity. 

Together they were blessed with five children: Karen (Steve) Robinson, Neil (Rebecca) Smith, Blane (Janae) Smith, Tamera (Dwain) Martinson and their bonus daughter Alberta (Davis) Begay. One of her greatest joys is her many grand-children and great-grandchildren whom she loves and adores. In addition, living next door to her in-laws Archie and Mary Smith was a highlight and a blessing to her family. 

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of her favorite callings was serving in the Ogden Temple with her husband and her eternal friends. 

Venna enjoyed camping and fishing with her family, birthday lunch dates with her mom and her daughters, making memories with family and visiting with her friends. 

She had amazing Christ-like qualities which were sharing her smile, blessing others with her kindness, and always making friends. 

 A special thanks to her family, friends, those that loved her and cared for her at the Family Tree and the Hospice care team that assisted her in her final hours. 

Family and friends may visit with Venna and her Family on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 45 W 200 N Morgan, UT 84050.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Morgan Stake Center 355 N 700 E Morgan, UT 84050. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral services from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at the Morgan Cemetery 355 South State Street, Morgan, UT 84050
