Verna Lee

December 8, 1928 — June 10, 2014

Verna Mae Lee, 85, of Green River, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at her home.  A long time resident of Green River, Wyoming and former resident of Roy, Utah, Mrs. Lee died following a brief illness.

She was born on December 8, 1928 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of the late Grant T. Bishop and Elizabeth Brown Bishop.

Mrs. Lee attended schools in Morgan, Utah.

She married Wayne Lee Sr. in Round Valley, Utah on December 24, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 1988.

Her interests were camping, hunting, gardening, going to garage sales, working puzzles, listening to old country songs and watching old movies.

Survivors include five sons Tom Lee of Ogden Utah, Mike Lee of Green River, Wyoming, Carl Lee of Utah, Jerry Lee of Green River, Wyoming and Ken Lee of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three daughters Pat Lee of Green River, Wyoming, Roxanne Feilding of Roy, Utah and Doris Kempton of Superior, Wyoming; two brothers Gary Bishop and Ernie Bishop both of Fort Collins, Colorado; two sisters LaRue  and Darlene both of Colorado; thirty two grandchildren; fifty five great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Wayne “Butch” Lee Jr., two daughters LuAnn Layton and Dorothy Oram, two brothers Burt Bishop and Donnie Bishop and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North in Morgan, Utah on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A. M.   Graveside services will follow immediately following the viewing at the South Morgan Cemetery in Morgan, Utah.
