Vernal Carter

MORGAN a�" On May 24, 2013, Vernal Carter passed away peacefully to be reunited with his sweetheart, due to complications of pneumonia.

Vernal was born September 22, 1934, the second child of Oriel and Juanita Carter. He married the love of his life Connie Lu Wilde on January 10, 1959. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 2, 1965.

Vernal was a hard worker and enjoyed working, whether it was on his farm or helping others. He spent many years shearing sheep and shoeing horses. He loved being on horseback from his younger years of riding in Rodeos, to breaking of horses, or just taking care of the cows and sheep in the mountains. He planted amazing gardens. Vernal enjoyed the years that he spent in the scouting program. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was quite the joker and there was always laughter when spending time with Vernal.

Surviving are his children; Lucinda (Denny) Andersen, Bernie (Sondra) Carter, Clay (Kelly) Carter, Carrie Beyler, Seth (Emily) Carter, Joseph (Natalie) Carter. Eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters; Bud (Erma) Carter, Ardell (Gene) Hayes and Bonnie (Ben) Crawley.

Preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, grandson Justin Andersen, his parents and Connie's parents.

Funeral services will be held at the Porterville church (2700 S. Morgan Valley Dr.) on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held at Walker Mortuary on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Porterville Church.
