Willis Packard

Willis Packard a�" Loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on January 25, 2011.

Dad was born Dec. 22, 1926 to Ira and Doris Payne Packard in Ogden, UT. He attended school in Ogden City and Weber County.

He married his eternal sweetheart Dorothy Hunt on May 31, 1947. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 2009 after 62 years of marriage.

Dad worked for Wilkinson Construction where he established a reputation as a hard worker and an honest man.

Dad was also a community servant. He was a member of the Jacee's, the Jeep Posse, where he was commander and was a long time member of the Morgan Volunteer Fire Department. Dad also served two terms as a Morgan City Councilman. After retirement, Dad and Mom enjoyed traveling. They enjoyed numerous travels with Ed and Queena and many other friends. They also enjoyed spending time in the Uinta's with family and Friends.

Dad was a member of the LDS church, and served in many positions.

Dad is survived by four children, Pat (Carlin) Fullmer, Riverdale, Paul Packard, Morgan, Karen Strong, Morgan, Chris (Carrie) Packard, Riverdale. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grand children.

He is also survived by two sisters Evelyn Hunter and Othei (Ken) Davidson, as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ed and Queena Hinds. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy, two sons, Gary and Russ, two brothers, and one sister.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Family Tree Assisted Living Center and Alpine Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at 12 noon at the Rock Church, 10 W Young Street, Morgan. Friends and family may call at Walker Mortuary in Morgan Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.

Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
