Walker Mortuary was established in 1961 when Robert M. Walker purchased his first Funeral Home in Coalville, Utah. Expansion came in 1967 when the Walker family completed a new facility in Morgan, Utah. Together, the facilities are run as Walker Mortuary of Morgan and Coalville, Utah.
In 1982, Bob’s son, Mark L. Walker came to work in the family business as a licensed funeral director.
Mark graduated from Cypress College of Mortuary Science in Cypress, California. Together, Bob and Mark ran the facilities together until Robert passed away in 1997.
In 2007, Lola Mae also passed away, marking the end of an era.
Mark and his wife, Janene continue to work and help in the mortuary.
Landon M. Walker graduated from Morgan High School and went on to serve a mission in Lima, Peru for the Church of Jesus of Latter-day saints.
He then went to Mortuary School in Mesa Arizona and received
the Mu Sigma Alpha award given to the top 1 percent of his class. He graduated in 2009 and returned to Morgan to work full time with his dad, Mark. He enjoys being able to serve the community and work
alongside his father.
In 2019 Landon purchased the mortuary and he and his wife, Timorie, continue to uphold the traditions of making Walker Mortuary a family business with small town personal service and care. They have five children and love to chase them around and attend their many sporting activities.
